“Angst” by Loredana (ft. Rymez)
The easiest way to describe Loredana’s “Angst” is as it being directed towards her haters. You see, she was recently caught up in a well-publicized criminal scandal. And the way she tells it on the track, this ultimately resulted in her life becoming gossip fodder for tabloid news media in her home country. So now she is lashing out against such entities. She vehemently refutes various negative reports concerning her that they have published. And in the course of doing that, she also points out her significant level of wealth, fame and talent. In other words, she’s chillin’ regardless of what they may report.
And such reports have indeed even affected her family life, such as her relationship with her husband and fellow music star Mozzik. So she uses the occasion of this to track to clear the air that she would never publicly diss ‘her child’s father’.
But did she really diss her child’s father?
The ‘scandal’ concerning the two of them can be traced back to when they broke up circa October 2019. And whereas Loredana dropped a couple of generally-noncontroversial comments concerning the matter, Mozzik initially remained quiet. However, shortly thereafter, reports still emerged of the two of them having some type of serious beef. Then following that, Mozzik finally did speak up by saying that it was Loredana who ‘screwed up’ their relationship.
This apparently compelled her to drop a statement which many interpreted as a diss against Mozzik in a track released earlier in 2020 entitled “Kein Wort”. And said insult did not go over well with Mozzik nor some of their mutual fandom. So that would be why Loredana is now obliged to put forth an idea like she never actually did – nor ever would – diss Mozzik.
What the song “Angst” is all about
Conclusively the titular “angst”, i.e. persistent aggravation, is actually an attribute the rapper is ascribing to her haters. And the way she uses the term is tantamount to jealousy, as in these people experiencing a persistent aggravation due to the fact that Loredana is able to continually prosper regardless of the continuous reports that her life is somehow in shambles.
And all in all, she is here to let them know that she indeed recognizes what they are doing and accordingly perceive them as being weak.

What scandal was Loredana involved in?
The aforementioned criminal scandal which Loredana was involved was actually more akin to a criminal investigation. We say this because she was actually arrested under the charge of defrauding an older couple out of 900,000 Swiss Francs. Said amount is approximately $1 million. And “20 Minutes”, one of the media houses she calls out on “Angst”, were actually at the forefront of reporting this story. Her brother later went on to state that she was cleared of all charges.

Loredana actually recites this song in German. German is one of the official languages of her home country, Switzerland.
