“Na Na” by Trey Songz
The song “Na Na” depicts a party setting where Trey Songz is trying to woo a woman he wants.
Trey tells this woman to put her hands in the air as a sign of submission and consent to what he wants. “Na Na” is a variation of “No”, which is used ironically to affirm his statements. The artist somehow blames this lady for acting naughty, thus causing him to feel attracted to her which he believes will in turn make him spend all his money just to get her. He then tells her to raise her hands if she’ll spend the night with him.
The singer suggests that he’s the type of guy many girls want to be with. By virtue of this, he will give this new lady the greatest time of her life if she agrees to be with him. He also appears very confident that she will follow him home.
The lady may have gone through bad relationships in the past, and Trey promises that he will be the best guy to her and fulfill all her financial needs.
After all is said and done, Trey is just trying to entice this woman to have a romantic affair with him. And what he is using to entice her are money and the promise to treat her well.
