“No Time For Tears” by Nathan Dawe & Little Mix

On “No Time for Tears”, the female singers are addressing an ex-boyfriend. All indications are that the relationship did not end amicably, with the girls being under the impression that their ex still wants them to suffer in the aftermath. That is to say that he is anticipating the singer being brokenhearted without him and in fact wishes her to be so. And whereas that was true initially, now the vocalist(s) is asserting “no time for tears”. That’s another way of saying that she’s not going to cry over him anymore. And since he was apparently reveling in her anguish, she is throwing this fact in this face, that she has indeed moved on and is now “so good without” him.

This track came out, via RCA Records and Warner Music, on 27 November 2020. It featured DJ Nathan Dawe as its producer alongside Tré Jean-Marie. And they also co-wrote the song in conjunction with MNEK and Little Mix member Jade Thirlwall.

This track appeared on the UK Singles Chart as well as Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electric Songs listing. And it is the first collaboration between British artists Little Mix and Nathan Dawe.
