“Fascination” by Tamino
This is only the second time we have analyzed a Tamino track, but by the looks of things he’s one of those types of songwriters who never says anything directly. For instance, it is stated in this love song that the vocalist is “fascinated” with the “fascination” of the addressee, his lover. That assertion alone is very poetic. However, the general implication is that possessing such a sentiment in a relationship is a good thing.
However, as the piece progresses, it becomes increasingly obvious that what we’re dealing with here is a heartbreak song. That is what for the most part is being inferred by the lyrics, that the vocalist and addressee are drifting apart, and subsequently the former is in his feelings. But again, this is the sentiment being relayed, not necessarily what the lyrics themselves overtly speak to. Or put otherwise, the wording is so allegorical and poetic that the listener, to some degree, is forced to use his or her imagination in an attempt to make sense of it all.
Release of “Fascination”
“Fascination” was made public on 7 June 2022. Upon its release, it officially became the second single from the “Sahar”. “Sahar” is Tamino’s sophomore-studio album.
This song marks his second single for 2022. His first for the year in question was “The First Disciple“.

“Fascination” was not only written by Tamino but it was also co-produced by him. Besides Tamino, two other producers worked on this track. PJ Maertens is one of them. The other is Jo Francken.
Who Is Tamino?
Tamino is 25 years old as of “Fascination”. He was born in Belgium but is actually of Egyptian descent. In fact part of his claim to fame is being the grandson of Muharram Fouad (1934-2002), an Egyptian movie star from back in the day.
Another thing Tamino is known for is favoring the oud, an unconventional Middle Eastern, guitar-looking instrument from the days of old.
To date, the singer/songwriter has not experienced any type of major success in the mainstream music industry. However, he has achieved a number of musical accolades. One such accolade is releasing a studio album (titled “Amir”) in 2018.
