“Tell Her” by Bruno Major

Alright, let’s break the lyrics of Bruno Major’s “Tell Her” down, shall we? So, Bruno’s got this girl he’s crazy about, right. But it seems they’ve hit a rough patch or even broke up. He’s totally bummed he missed her that night and he’s wondering how she’s doing since they haven’t chatted recently.

He’s trying to convey, via the person he’s speaking to, how much this gal means to him. Like, she’s his better half, flooding every part of him. He’s hoping she might forgive him for whatever he did, because he’s not blaming her for any of it.

In the chorus, we find him realizing how strong she is. No matter what life throws at her, she bounces back. And nothing, no one can replace her in his life. This guy’s finally gotten the memo about how amazing she is.

“Morning can break her
Evening can take her
Still she will come back around
Nothing can shake her
Repeat or replace her
And I’ve finally figured that out now”

The second verse has him admitting he’s messed up. He knew what he should’ve said to her, but instead, he wrote sad songs about it. The kicker is, even though he’s playing these songs to a bunch of randos, he’s always singing to her.

In the third verse, he’s just putting it out there that she’s his dream girl, she’s always on his mind. If the person he’s speaking to sees her, he wants them to check if there’s any chance of them getting back together.

Finally, in the outro, he admits that he’s trying to move on, but he also acknowledges that she’s really gone. So, it’s a song about regret, love, and hope all bundled together. He messed up, he misses her, he’s hopeful for a second chance, but he’s also trying to come to terms with the possibility that it might really be over. Heavy stuff, man.

“Tell her I’m trying my best to move on
Tell her I realise that she’s really gone”
