“Bleed Into Me” by Trivium

Apparently the storyline of Trivium’s “Bleed Into Me” breaks down as so. The addressee would be someone going through some type of personal issue(s). This individual is also someone whom the singer cares about. By virtue of this, he is imploring him/her to ‘bleed into him’. And the way this metaphor reads is that he is making himself available to absorb some of his/her pain. In other words, he is ‘empathetic’ to this person’s situation.

Moreover it can also be argued, considering the intro and pre-chorus for instance, that this is a give-and-take type of situation. That is to say that in the same capacity he is opening up to the addressee, he also wants the person to open up to him and also help him get through his emotional struggles.

So once again this song is very-sympathetic in nature. And perhaps the best way to describe the overall scenario is as the singer being a genuinely-concerned friend towards the addressee.
