Colter Wall

Who is Colter Wall? He’s a Canadian singer-songwriter who’s been making waves in the country and folk scene with his super deep, gravelly voice that kinda makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time.

Born in Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1995, Colter grew up around politics – his dad was actually the premier of Saskatchewan. But politics wasn’t his thing. Instead, he fell in love with music and started strumming his guitar and writing songs when he was still a teenager.

His music? Think old-school country and folk, mixed with blues and Americana. His lyrics often paint vivid pictures of the wild prairies and hardworking folks of his homeland. And did I mention his voice? It’s seriously unique – deep and weathered, like it belongs to an old cowboy sitting around a campfire.

Colter’s self-titled debut album came out in 2017, and people immediately took notice. Songs like “Sleeping on the Blacktop” and “Kate McCannon” show off his storytelling skills and that old-timey sound. He’s also released a few more albums since then.
