“Let Me Down” by Oliver Tree

“Let You Down” is another song by Oliver Tree in which the singer is taking an apologetic approach. This time around who he is actually apologizing to is his music fans. More specifically, even though the overall situation was out of his control, he felt akin to being personally responsible for the his album being delayed (at the time he reported it as being “officially cancelled”) due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Moreover he discovered that many of his fans did not take the news well. So in empathizing with their pain, he is singing primarily from their frustrated perspective.  But as a side note, he also implies in the first verse that the pandemic is a situation which verily needs to be taken seriously.
