MAX’s “Love Me Less” tells the story of a man who fears that his partner might change her feelings towards him once she gets to know his past. The narrator is in a pensive mood while imagining the outcome of his relationship if he reveals his seemingly ‘evil’ side to her.
Despite his fear of losing his lover, he is still determined to expose his secrets because he is probably tired of hiding and pretending. The past he dreads is characterized by the affairs he has had, the places he has been and the harm he has done to certain people. The narrator strongly believes that his partner’s perspective will change when she finds out. Nonetheless, he remains hopeful that she might still chose to love him for who he truly is.
