Lala Sadii is a social-media star with a very sizable following. For instance, as of this writing (a week after the dropping of “Murder My Feelings” on 24 July 2023), she has roughly 4.3 million YouTube subscribers and a whopping 20.3 million followers on TikTok.
To note, Lala’ popularity up until this point is not due to having established herself as a musician. In fact “Murder My Feelings” marks the first song in her discography. And besides Sadii, this track was also written by Christina Galligan, Roland Spencer and Lionel Crasta.
Crasta, who has experience working with the likes of Ariana Grande, Noah Cyrus and the Biebs, also produced this song. And the director of the track’s music video is identified by imdb as Sari, who we will presume is Lala’s older brother Sari Sadi, who’s likewise a notable TikToker.

And the lyrics of song read like the type of debut musical outing you would expect from a young, female social media star. That is to say that they are romantic in nature, and the metaphors aren’t difficult to understand.
For example, as you likely assumed upon reading the song’s title, when the vocalist puts forth a desire to ‘murder her feelings’, that’s another way of Lala saying that she wants to minimize the strength of her love for the addressee. Or put otherwise, she loves him so much that in her mind, the power of these emotions is a cause for concern.
Usually when we come across this type of sentiment in song, it alludes to the other party involved either being toxic, or the vocalist being a novice in the field of romance. In this case the latter would probably be the applicable, as none of the lyrics point to the idea of the addressee mistreating Sadii. To the contrary, they rather imply that he’s doing everything right – so much so that, for whatever reason, Lala comes off as if she is on the verge of losing her mind.
