“Piece of Your Heart” by Meduza (ft. Goodboys)
In “Piece of Your Heart”, the singer is entreating the addressee to show him “a piece of (her) heart”, which appears to be synonymous with “a piece of (her) love”. Based on the aforementioned, it is safe to say that this is definitely a romantic song. And the narrator seems to be trying to ascertain at what angle he should approach his love interest to get closer to her. Thus by revealing “a piece of (her) heart” to him, he can then conform to ‘what she wants’ in the name of pleasing her.
He is not necessary locked on getting “physical”, but at the same time he does acknowledge that he can’t get enough of the way they touch. This seems to insinuate that he indeed wants to take things further on that level also. And another part of his strategy to achieve such is “turning (her) up”, as in showing her a good time, so that they can ‘get down’. So yes, it is the ambition of the singer to make his lady happy, but in a roundabout way that will manifest in his own pleasure also.
