“Pop, Lock & Drop” by Huey

Excuse the frankness, but when Huey refers to ‘popping’ he means p***y popping, which is basically another name for strip dancing. And the titular ‘locking and dropping’ is likewise meant to be interpreted along those same lines. Or stated plainly, the addressee of this song is a romantic interest and more specifically someone whom the rapper perceives as being tantamount to a stripper or perhaps an actual stripper herself.

Or stated differently, his main reasons for interacting with her is to see her dance sensually and to actually have intercourse with her. And the lady herself appears as someone – for instance via her style of dress and the venue in which the song is set – who is down for that type of movement. So the theme of the track, as illustrated by the title, centers on the artist encouraging her to do a number of sensualized dance moves.
