“Unperson” by Nothing But Thieves

Conclusively “Unperson” features Nothing But Thieves raging against the machine. The way they going about doing so is premised on the George Orwell classic 1984, from which the character of an unperson is derived from. This is an appellation for an individual who has no identity, as such has been erased by a repressive government. And the way the lyrics play out are basically like the vocalist considers himself at the complete mercy of the highly-technological society we live in. Or as he himself puts it, he’s “just another clone of a clone”, as in someone who lacks any type of true individuality or self-determination. And again, the underlying implication is that this reality is a direct result of the societal design of the powers that be.
